The second assignment is giving 4 questions to solve using C++ code. It also is a group assignment. Each time attend the lab do one question. But now already pass 3 times lab, my answer of assignment still in question 2. It needs time to do it. If misunderstand the question, we can ask help from the tutor in the lab. The due date for this assignment will coming soon, I need to solve the problems….wah!! So many problems occur… find some book to understand it.

Malaysia is currently the world’s 11th most preferred study destination.

The conclusion was based on the fact that 69,154 international students from more than 150 countries have chosen Malaysia as the country they wanted to study in.
With the majority of students coming from Indonesia, China and the Middle East, the new figure was a 26.5% increase from the old count of 50,788, which was recorded on March 31 last year.

The ranking was obtained from the Institute of International Education.
Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said the rise indicated that the ministry’s target to have 80,000 international students by 2010 was achievable.

Microsoft has announced the latest version of its application design program known as Expression Studio and a new version of its application plug-in, Silverlight.

Expression Studio 3 and Silverlight 3 are set to come packed with new features. The new version of Silverlight, for example, comes with “smooth streaming,” which adjusts the quality of the video in relation to the bandwidth available.

This is designed to achieve uninterrupted video streaming, Microsoft claimed.
The new version of the plug-in also comes with more format choices. It now supports MPEG4-based H.264/AAC audio on top of the existing Windows Media Audio format.

On the business side, Expression Studio 3 (which fully supports Silverlight 3) offers businesses and individuals alike new features to create web applications

New features include SketchFlow, which allows designers to navigate through the unfinished application visually to see where changes could be made.It also allows designers to import files and works in progress from Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.

Silverlight 3 is available for free download at here. Those with an existing, albeit older, version of Silverlight will be prompted to download the newer version for free.

5 Approaching Social Networking and Collaboration in a Strategic way
Everyone now realizes the power of social networks and is rushing to get in, establish a FaceBook page, a Twitter account and get’s their PR to sprawl the web to “engage” people. Internally, companies are haphazardly trying various collaboration methods. We see a maturity process happening through 2009 that will force companies to look at all their collaboration points in a strategic way and tie them to business goals and processes. This new approach will transform them from toys to tools and will establish their place and value in the new order.

The climate is changing. The earth is warming up, and there is now overwhelming scientific consensus that it is happening, and human-induced. With global warming on the increase and species and their habitats on the decrease, chances for ecosystems to adapt naturally are diminishing. I agreed that climate change may be one of the greatest threats facing the planet. Recent years show increasing temperatures in various regions, and/or increasing extremities in weather patterns.
So how? We needs to save the planet.

It also needs do a project that we need find the outside client as our real client of the project.
So, a primary school needs a system for their student. The major function of the system is to calculate the student grade which can view by parent, teacher, and the headmaster of the school. The system should have a domain website rather than web-based system. It increases the difficulty of our group to finish the project. I think our team can successful develop a system…

It is a project. Due date is on 22 October 2009. Form a group of 5 students, conduct a study about the topic that En Nordin list out. Prepare the report not more than 20 pages and submit a brief proposal on 27 August 2009.

The proposal already passes up to En Nordin on time. But it needs some time to finish the report it…..

Chile detected H1N1 in turkeys. It is the first time the virus has been found outside human and pigs, but there was no indication the disease had spread to other parts of Chile.

Hope the scary A (H1N1) stops inflection diseases.

What is H1N1?
This is the new influence A virus that has never before circulated among humans. The virus is spread form person-to-person. I can declare H1N1 as strain pandemic and it has killed almost 1800 people worldwide last week.

What are the signs and symptoms of inflection?
Fever, cough, headache, muscle and joint pain, sore throat, runny nose,

How to prevent spread?
1. People who are ill should cover the mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing
2. Stay home when feel unwell
3. Clean hands regularly
4. Keep some distance from healthy people.

En Nordin is our lecturer in the Computer Security Course. He ask us form a group in 5 person, and do a study in the Network Solution that available in the market and write a simple report discussing about the solution. The report should have introduction, solution package, suitability of the product, enterprise/small business solution, conclusion, references, and appendix. Submit the assignment to his office (the box beside his door) on 24 August 2009.

We form a group name Security Generation (S-Gen) which have I, Sok Keang, Wai San, Li Im, Siew Eng. We decided study about the WatchGuard. First, we need online search the WatchGuard information according to the required of the assignment. Then we discuss the part that who will in charge. So, I do the part of the enterprise/small business solution. Hope it can finish on time…….^.^

There was a workshop for MCC held at Novetel 1Borneo hotel,kk. So, I and my friends decided to go there to improve our knowledge about the mobile content. It was a whole day event. Today, I download the assignment paper from the LMS. It has 1 week time give me to do this assignment. After scanning through the question, I start to turn on my text book, slide to get the answers. It is a calculation question…I use 2 hours to finish the assignment. Doing the cover pages, manage the answer in table, print it and lastly bind it with a black tape.

The title: The Effectiveness of Web Teaching and Learning: Student perspective

So, in my group, there have me, Gok Sok Keang, and Loh Meng Fun. We do group discussion at library on Monday since it will pass up at this Friday. We have limited time to do the assignment. But, I believe that our group can solve the problem and on time pass it on time.

Dr Jason teaches me the course of Programming Language. The first assignment that he gave us is Concepts and History of Programming Language. The programming Languages are PL/1, Java, Prolog, Haskell, and Miranda. It needs 2 page summaries of its history, features, paradigm, and relationship with other languages. He gave us 2 weeks to done it.

I, Sok keang, Li Im, Wai San, and Lian Zi form a group. We did a meeting at library yesterday. We divided it into 5 parts, one person takes one of the programming languages.

So, I take the Prolog programming languages. Prolog is an old programming language. The difficulty for me is how to find the information relationship with other programming languages. I decided borrow book from the library and take back to search the information. Hope those books can help me solve the problems…..
